Whether your in a group class or one to one she will help you discover how Pilates can truly change your life.
For a long time it seemed to me that life was about to begin - real life, but there was always some obstacle in the way, something to be gotten through first. Some unfinished business, time still to be served, a debt to be paid. At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life. This perspective has helped me to see there is no way to happiness, happiness is the way. So treasure every moment you have and remember that time waits for no one.
Happiness is a journey, not a destination …… - Souza
After training in mat based Pilates in 2001 and teaching for over 10 years, Claire was eager to acquire even more knowledge and experience. She retrained in equipment based Pilates which took over 2 ½ years to fully qualify as a Contrology Pilates Method teacher travelling all over the UK and Europe. Claire even had the opportunity to work with Mary Bowen. For those of you who are not aware, Mary is a pilates elder who is now in the 80’s and is one of the last surviving students to of worked directly with Joseph Pilates in his studio. This enabled Claire to gain immeasurable knowledge of Joseph Pilates original form. Claire continues to train and keep completely up to date to ensure she is always offering the absolute best experience possible to her clients.
Upon completing her Pilates qualification Claire wanted to be able to offer her clients even more so she embarked on training to become a fully qualified MFR therapist. She completed her training in 2015 and has become as passionate about the MFR therapy as she is about Pilates. The two disciplines work perfectly together to open and realign the body in movement and on the couch.
